Will Dynamite Jack Explode Into The App Store?

April 18, 2012
Developer Phil Hassey, the creative mind behind the excellent Galcon, has recently hinted that his latest creation may be finding its way to iOS sooner than we thought. Phil Hassey's next title will be called Dynamite Jack. The game is currently scheduled for release next month for both the PC and Mac. Phil recently released a trailer for Dynamic Jack, which is well worth a watch. It certainly has me excited about the prospect of playing this on my iPad: If you cannot view the embedded video above, it is also available by clicking here. It is impossible to watch this video without drawing some comparisons to the classic title, Bomberman. Dynamite Jack features the same mechanic of miraculously dropping a bomb from the bottom of your character, though Dynamic Jack looks to go far beyond the confines of the arena type gameplay found in Bomberman. There has been no confirmation of when we may be seeing the iOS version of Dynamite Jack, it has been pretty much confirmed it will follow hot on the heels of the PC and Mac release. Phil Hassey, in a tweet to a TouchArcade writer, revealed this information, along with confirmation of iCade support. In a further tweet, Phil Hassey advised that Dynamite Jack has been designed from the start for the iPad, so the port should be relatively hassle free, and hopefully quick! Does Dynamite Jack light your fuse? Or do you think it will fizzle out soon after launch?
