Apple Extends iCloud Storage Bonus For MobileMe Users From June To September

Attention MobileMe users who have not moved over to iCloud yet: Apple is extending the deadline for their offer of free storage from June 2012 to September 2012. Apple made this date changed rather quietly. There was no big press release or announcement, they just stealthily changed the date in their MobileMe to iCloud transition FAQ.
Here is the exact wording from the FAQ:
MobileMe members with 20GB of purchased storage receive a complimentary iCloud storage upgrade of 20GB, and accounts with additional purchased storage (40GB to 60GB) receive a complimentary upgrade of 50GB after moving to iCloud. These free upgrades are good through September 30th, 2012. After that date, you can continue the upgrade at the regular price or let it expire and use the free 5GB plan.Apple is offering this extra storage as an incentive to get users away from MobileMe as quickly as possible, so they can have everything unified under iCloud. Of course, after September, users will have to make a decision about whether they want to keep paying for the extra storage. Switching now, and using the free space between today and September, gives users plenty of time to decide if the services offered with iCloud are right for them. Mail, Documents in the Cloud, and device backups all count against iCloud storage space. Using iTunes in the cloud and Photo Stream will not take up any space. It will come down to personal preference: whether the user needs the extra storage or not. Are you a MobileMe user moving to iCloud? How have you enjoyed the switch? (via iMore)
