The retro soundtrack and simple sound effects brings you back to video games from the 1980s. I wish I could go back to being a kid again.
This game only requires one hand, so you can hold your child, make some coffee, or change the television channels while playing. These are the times where I wish I were ambidextrous. I’d give up my left arm to be so.
So, you pulled off a crime and the police are after you. You’re in a high-speed pursuit and need to escape at all costs. While escaping in your vehicle, you need to collect moneybags that are scattered all over the road. Also, you will need to maneuver around oncoming vehicles, animals, and roadblocks by tilting your device left and right. You only are given three lives, so steer clear of road hazards or the game will end quickly.
This is not your ordinary car. This rare vehicle has the ability to jump like a dunk contest champion! In other words, the car can jump really high.
To jump over oncoming obstacles, just tap the screen and send the car sky high. When approaching roadblocks, a red exclamation point will appear, notifying you to get ready to jump. If you do not jump in time, you will smash into the wall and your car will resemble an accordion like the one Steve Urkel used to play on the television show “Family Matters.”
After you’re totaled, you are given the option to post your crash to Twitter for all your friends to point to and laugh at. Game Center is also supported, so you and your friends can compete for the highest score.
This game is easy to learn and casual enough for all ages. The 8-bit presentation is also a nice touch. I’d recommend grabbing this game from the App Store. You never know when you’ll need to waste some time.
