MiniFlyer ($0.99) by Triniti Interactive Limited is a casual game that will remind you of many other titles in the App Store. To some, this may be a good thing. To others, this may pose a problem considering many people want new and unique games.

A worker at a nuclear plant notices asteroids falling from the sky. He begins to panic as they fall closer. The asteroids smashed into the plant and totally destroyed it. Pieces flew everywhere and there were constant explosions. Luckily, the little worker managed to escape. He grabbed one item while he escaped – a jetpack. So, like anyone else with a jetpack, he began fiddling with it and learned how it worked. He was ready to take flight.

If I knew anyone with a working jetpack, I’d steal it. I'm not going to lie.

Anyone that has played Mega Jump or another alternative will understand how this game works. The object of the game is to keep the jet pack equipped worker in the air by collecting coins and riding vehicles. The gameplay is endless. As long as you keep collecting coins, you can play this game forever. The only way to lose is to fail to grab a coin in time, while gravity pulls you back to earth.

The controls are as simple as they come. Just tilt your device left or right to move the worker as he flies. It’s smooth and easy to learn, so it’s perfect for all age groups. All the levels are hand drawn, which makes it a pleasant game to look at.

To help you along the way, you can use the coins you collect to purchase items and upgrades in The Stash (store). You can get speed boosts, revival items, and even become a magnet that will drag coins to you as you progress through the levels. If you don’t like the look of the little worker, you can purchase a new avatar and give him a makeover.

So, make it rain in The Stash! The coins will hurt when they come back down on your head, but oh well. No pain, no gain, right?

The gameplay is endless and smooth. The graphics are hand drawn and nice to look at. I would recommend purchasing this game for its small price tag. If you’re not looking to spend any money, Mega Jump is a free alternative.
