Dream Inn: Driftwood (Free) by Clickgamer.com is your standard hidden object game, where gameplay will consist of finding specific items in cluttered room scenes.

The goal in this game is to restore the Driftwood Inn, which was once a hit resort at Seaside, but has since fallen into disrepair. You’re tasked with restoring it to its former glory, with the help of the inn manager, Emma Gray, and her cat, Pris.

Everything in the inn has become scattered and misplaced, and you must visit each guest suite and find everything that does not belong, collect it, and later return it to the room where it is supposed to be.

The game is organized into rooms, and each room has a different theme, from nautical to victorian. As in most hidden object games, you will be given a list of items to find, and when you find them, you will tap them to remove them from the scene.

You will need to find several out of place items in each room. Some of them will be sold for gold, and some will be moved to other rooms.

Generally in hidden object games you find objects, but in this one, you will also put items back in their rightful place, a gameplay element that can be challenging.

Restoring rooms, along with selling items, will give you coins. These coins are used to improve the exterior of your hotel (with paint and other landscaping options), turning it into the bustling Seaside resort that it once was.

In addition to finding hidden objects, there are a few mini games to break up the monotony, but other than that, this is a straight hidden object game without a whole lot of plot.

Those of you who enjoy hidden object games will likely have fun with Dream Inn: Driftwood, but I didn’t think it was as in-depth or as enthralling as some of the other hidden object titles that I’ve played.

I also did not care for the graphics on my third generation iPad. They were fuzzy and far from high resolution, which can make it tough to play a hidden object game. Since this is a free title with an in-app purchase for the full game (it costs $2.99) you can download Dream Inn: Driftwood, give it a try, and decide if it’s worth buying.
