Razor: Salvation Blasts Its Way Into The App Store

May 29, 2012
A few weeks ago, we told you about Razor: Salvation, a collaborative effort between Crescent Moon Games and Blowfish Studios. Both studios projected that the app would be released by the end of the month, and they kept their word. Razor: Salvation has hit the App Store. In Razor: Salvation, you’ll be playing as the commander of the dropship, Salvation, and you must rescue Earth’s inhabitants and help defend against an alien force called the Xenos. This game will be the first in a series of games chronicling the story of why the Xenos have invaded Earth. This game has all of the characteristics of a first-person shooter, but is played from a fixed position that provides a 360 degree range of motion for you to find and destroy the enemy. You can earn in-game "razor bucks" to use for weapon and dropship upgrades. In addition to the single player campaign, Razor: Salvation also has global multiplayer features, as outlined in the app's release notes:
  • PLAYER CREATED FACTIONS – Create your own factions with friends and fight together to be the top performing Faction in the world!
  • FIGHT FOR YOUR REGION – Help your world region to the top of the rankings!
  • UNIQUE LEADERBOARD TITLES – Be the best shooter or savior and show off with the ability to be at the top!
Razor: Salvation fully supports the Retina display on the new iPad, iCloud save syncing, and Game Center integration. The app is universal, although for some reason, the fourth generation iPod touch isn't supported (yet). You can get Razor: Salvation in the App Store for $0.99.
