The App Store's Undisputed King Of Quandaries Goes Free

I’ve written about Triple Entendre before, and it's no small feat that the title continues to stand out above all other entrants in the saturated trivia app marketplace. It’s a complex, confusing, reference-filled head-scratcher from start to finish. Or, at least, from start to wherever your brain gives up.
Of course, since the game is so darned demanding (I’m still stuck on level 18!), many folks are reluctant to drop the dime and take the plunge. I get that, and I sympathize.
It turns out that The Van Buren Boys do, too.
So, to make your decision a little easier (and your gaming life much, much more difficult), Triple Entendre is going free for a limited time.
But that's not all. The game's been updated with new levels (80 in total) and now sports a handy "skip" feature available via in-app purchase. Now, I know what you're thinking, but don't let the notion of IAPs scare you away -- not this time. In fact, the game is exactly the same as before, and the new IAPs are as useful as they are inoffensive. You get a pair of skips to start, but once these are exhausted, you'll have the option to purchase more (at a rate of three per $0.99). Remember, skips weren't part of the original app, and you can complete every single board without them. In addition to skips, different themed versions of Triple Entendre will be offered through IAP, starting with the immediately available 80s Music add-on.
Basically, this move just consolidates the overall experience, and it adds value to those who would otherwise be hopelessly stuck or thirsty for more. I said it before, and I'll say it again: Done correctly, IAPs are the way to go.
And The Van Buren Boys have definitely done them correctly.
Hopefully, they'll help give Triple Entendre the attention it deserves.
