In New Beta, Apple TV Icons Can Be Customized And Reordered

With Apple TV software beta 2, users can customize and reorder the layout of application icons, just as you would on the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad, according to news first reported by AppleInsider.
According to the report, the new feature works by holding down the select button on Apple’s remote while an icon is selected. Once this is done, the selected icon will begin to wiggle, and it can be dragged to a custom location on the TV screen.
In the current software for Apple TV, holding down the select button will put the device to sleep.

The final version of the new OS for Apple TV will arrive for the public this fall along with iOS 6 for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad.
