Gemibears ($0.99) by Piston games is a match three game that will melt your heart. Match these pudgy, adorable little bears to win and collect them all for a special surprise. Not only can you play a fun matching game with the Gemibears, but you can also watch them in action in their own cartoons. We’re giving away five copies of this adorable game. Enter now for a chance to win.

Players start with a grid of square-shaped knitted bears that look like they just dropped from some candy-filled child’s dream. They are split into two different colors and players must match the colors to make them disappear.

Gemibears get tired easily and will often fall asleep in the middle of the game. This causes problems for players because once they are asleep they don’t move. In order to wake them up, you have to find their match. If too many of these snuggly guys fall asleep, you won’t be able to make any matches and your game will end.

Most of the levels are completed when a player reaches a certain point score. However, some of the levels are timed and players must reach the point goal before time runs out. You can extend your time by matching Gemibears that have little clocks on their bellies.

Every once in a while, a new Gemibear will show up. For example, the panda (my favorite animal) will make an appearance in the first world. Once you’ve matched at least one of the new bears, they will be saved in your “Gemipedia” folder. If you collect all 28 Gemibears, you will be entered to win one of 1,000 Gemibear toys. So cute!

There are other bonuses to unlock as well. For every level you complete, you earn points toward a “present.” Presents are wallpapers that can either be saved to your camera’s photo roll or used to decorate your favorite Gemibear’s room. It just keeps getting better, doesn’t it? Did I mention that you can watch three adorable cartoons staring the Gemibears? You won’t want to miss that.

There are five different worlds with 12 levels in each and four different modes of gameplay, including a turn-based multiplayer game.

There is also a lite version of Gemibears that includes one special world that isn’t available in the paid version, so go ahead and get that one, too. Oh, there is also an HD version that is optimized for the iPad. It is even better because you can see the amazing art detail.

Gemibears may be just another match-three game, but it is the best looking one I’ve ever played. It comes with so many bonus extras that I can’t help but try to collect all of the bears and unlock all of the worlds. It may not be manly enough for tough guys, but these cuddly little creatures can soften even the hardest of hearts.

We’re giving away five copies of the iPhone/iPod touch version of Gemibears. If you want a copy of this adorable app, leave a comment below before Thursday, June 21 at 11:59 p.m. CDT.
