Gather Your Twitter Links With Plume
Plume ($2.99) by Blue Parabola, LLC sorts out just the links from your Twitter timeline.
The thing about a Twitter timeline is that it’s a jumble of different things. Anything from Instagram pictures to daily happenings is all blended together.
This app brings some order to the chaos by making a special place to gather all of the tweets with links from your timeline.
Each time your start the app it will discover links that are available. You can see which date the tweets were made, though you’re not privy to how long they were posted (as other Twitter apps do).
What is neat, though, is that the main site where the link came from will show at the bottom of each tweet. This is useful, especially when you have bit.ly URLs.
Selecting the green check mark at the bottom of the screen will snap you right back to the top if you happen to be lost somewhere in the middle of all of your tweets.
While the app is good at pulling links from your main timeline, any other timelines you may have don’t make the cut. Say, perhaps, that you want to see just the links from your group of friends.
A solution does exist, though it might not be exactly what you’re looking for.
You can add a feather below your main timeline to select different feeds. Adding a new feather means being able to pull links from any Twitter user, regardless if you follow them or not.
Finding the user to follow can be done by either typing in his or her user name or actual name.
Multiple users can be added to one feather, which basically makes it a way to create multiple timelines. The only trouble is that you have to recreate your other timelines, which can be daunting, based on how many you might have.
This app makes for a companion to your Twitter account to filter out just the links from your timeline. If you’re tired of losing shared links from people you follow, then this would be the solution you’re looking for.
