Quirky App Of The Day: Talking Felix The Cat

The App Store has enough "talk back" apps to merit its own category. Talking Felix The Cat gets the nod of approval for its quirky nature thanks to the main character and extra features.
Felix rivals only a few top cats as the most popular cat in showbiz. The main feature of the app is the talk back feature. Unfortunately, the app doesn't turn your voice into that of Felix's, but it still does the high-pitched helium sound. You can also poke or tickle him to see his reaction.
The app does include Felix using his bag of tricks to pull out a guitar. A keyboard display at the bottom lets you choose which notes he plays. You can also video record your interactions with Felix allowing you to save any songs that you play on the app.
If you don't interact with Felix for a few seconds, he turns into the famous Felix clock, complete with eyes and tail that go back and forth. The time on the clock is the actual time.
There's a mini game in the app. It's like Doodle Jump, but it features Felix and his nemeses. He says "ouch" if you land on the same platform as a bad guy, but it doesn't seem to affect the game. The only way to lose is to miss a platform.
Talking Felix The Cat is available in the App Store for the awesome price of FREE, so there's nothing to lose by giving it a try.
