To Do! Takes Away Any Excuse For Being Disorganized
To Do! ($0.99) by G.P. Imports, Inc. provides you with highly organized lists in the palm of your hand. This app is so easy to use, and can make a big difference in coordinating your life by helping to order your most important day to day activities.
You can start using the app immediately after it is downloaded. It really is that easy. There is no tutorial. Instead, the app provides examples within every category. Examples such as “Call Mr. XYZ.” These examples are provided throughout the app, making it very easy to learn how to create your to do lists.
Once you have familiarized yourself with the app, you can start creating many kinds of to do lists. On the home page are two categories for Home and Work. This is how the app lets you classify your to do lists. Inside each of these categories you have the option to create as many to do items as you wish and each to do item can be highly personalized.
To Do! is reminiscent of the Reminders app that comes with the iPhone and the iPad. However, each to do you add in To Do! can be customized more than the events you add in Reminders. In To Do!, you can add three different types of tasks (simple, group, ToDoList) and four different types of reminders (call, email, SMS, website). Each of these tasks and reminders can be set for a specific day, time, filter, group, and level of importance. Alerts can also be created for each one.
There are several task and to do apps available in the App Store. However, I think this is one of the better ones. Its similarity to Reminders is convenient because iPhone and iPad users are already familiar with that app and know how to use it. To Do! just takes Reminders to the next level.
Some of the other apps reminiscent of To Do! are Cheddar and Last Time. Cheddar is essentially a free version of To Do! It will work for you if you don't want to spend $0.99 for an organizational app. Last Time is a great app that reminds you of the last time you did something, like going out to see a movie. I think Last Time and To Do! could be great apps to use together. Last Time reminds you that it might be time to go out again and To Do! will help you schedule that activity.
Overall I think this is a great app. I would recommend it to anyone who needs to bring a bit more order to a cluttered, busy life. Plus, at $0.99, the price cannot be beat.
