Where's My New iPhone? Apple Offering New Tool To Find Out

Apple customers waiting for an order now have a new tool to track their next iPhone or iPad purchase. Cupertino is now offering text order tracking.
The new text notification service, which shows up on Apple’s online store and is also being used in Apple retail stores, is in addition to the email notification service the company has long used to alert customers when their orders are shipped or ready for pickup.
According to the Apple website, the text message will include your order number and a link to the online Order Status. Texts will only be sent out between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. local time.

Supported Carriers The supported carriers are: Alltel, AT&T, Boost Mobile, Cricket, Nextel, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Verizon Wireless, and Virgin Mobile USA.
How to turn off text notifications: To stop receiving text notifications, simply reply STOP to the text message. Texting HELP to 83372 will give you additional information.Something tells me this tool will be quite popular in, say, September or October. This isn't the only new tool Apple has released for customers recently.
