Are You Tired Of Tones Or Vibrations? Enable iPhone LED Notifications

August 28, 2012
Whether you’re new to iOS, or just want to pick up some useful tips and tricks, we're here to help. This is iOS Advice. Notifications on an iPhone usually come in the form of an audible or a vibrating alert. Sometimes these types of alerts aren’t adequate or may not be heard in certain situations. Lucky for you, the iPhone has a visual alert option buried within the Settings app. To enable LED notifications, watch the video or follow the steps below: Step 1: Go into the Settings app on your device and tap on General. Step 2: Next, swipe down to the bottom and tap on Accessibility. Step 3: Scroll halfway down on the Accessibility screen and turn on “LED Flash for Alerts.” When you’re done with that, exit the Settings app and go back to the home screen. Next time your iPhone is locked or in lock screen mode, when you receive a notification the LED will flash three times to alert you. Now that you’ve learned how to enable LED notifications, if there’s something else you’d like to see on iOS Advice, please let us know.
