Broadcast For Friends Brings Unlimited Live Broadcast Videos To Facebook For First Time

Ustream has announced the availability of their newest app. Broadcast for Friends, or BFF, is the first iPhone app that lets users instantly broadcast unlimited live events to their friends on their Facebook timeline.
Available for free, BFF allows the broadcaster to change the look and feel of the live video with Hollywood-inspired themes. These include “Maltese,” “Vendetta,” and “Valentino,” among others. Each video can be shared with Facebook friends using built-in privacy settings.
For example, videos can be marked as “friends-only,” “self-only,” and “public.”

To create new videos, users only have to click on the “Broadcast” button to stream live video. At the end of the broadcast, a recorded version of the video can be saved to the user’s Facebook timeline for on-demand viewing. Broadcast for Friends will remind many of Color for Facebook, except without the limitations. Color currently offers live video and audio streaming via Facebook too, but at 60 second intervals. You can download Broadcast for Friends in the App Store. Ustream Broadcaster and Ustream are also available.
