Meet The Pink Bird: Angry Birds Seasons Set To Get New Update
August 13, 2012
Get ready, Angry Birds fans. Rovio is prepping a new update to their popular Angry Birds Seasons game for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad. A visit to Apple’s Game Center clearly shows a new update is likely to arrive soon in the App Store.
As you can see from the graphic above, the logo for Angry Birds Seasons – at least in Game Center, is now different. It includes a mountain and water stream scene. This is somewhat different than the app’s current icon, which signifies the game’s most recent level update, Piglantis that arrived in June.
Rovio recently released a new YouTube video showing the game’s newest bird, which likes to blow bubbles, and will be included in the next game update. The video includes the caption, “Head back to school with Angry Birds Seasons and the all new Pink Bird!”
Take a look:
Other Angry Birds Seasons levels released in 2012 include Ham’o’ween, Wreck the Halls, Year of the Dragon, and Cherry Blossom. In 2010-11, levels included Trick or Treat, Season’s Greedings, Hogs and Kisses, Go Green, Get Lucky, Easter Eggs, Summer Pignic, and Mooncake Festival.
In total, there are now 290 levels of play, including special episodes.
Most likely, Angry Birds Seasons will receive a new update later this month or sometime in September. When it does arrive, we’ll let you know.
In the meantime, Angry Birds Seasons for iPhone ($0.99) and Angry Birds Seasons HD for iPad ($2.99) are available in the App Store. The game is also available in the Mac App Store for $4.99.
