Panel Nine Releases Comic Book News Magazine, INFINITY For iPad
August 1, 2012
Tokyo-based Panel Nine has announced the release of INFINITY, a new iPad magazine devoted to digital graphic novels and comics.
Available for free in Apple’s Newsstand, INFINITY started as a small press comics fanzine in the 1980s. It includes the latest news and opinion on digital comics and graphic novels, interviews with artists and writers, excerpts from new novels, and exclusive artwork.
INFINITY publisher Russell Willis stated:
Digital delivery is a huge part of the future of comics and graphic novels. We’re launching INFINITY to cover things as they develop, debate key issues, such as user experience, platforms and pricing, interview the main players, and provide a guide for people to the good stuff. The introduction of INFINITY follows the announcement in May by Marvel Entertainment and Comixology of a multiyear deal to bring comic books to iOS using the Marvel Comics app and through the Web-based Marvel Comics Shop. Be sure to check out our list of apps for comic enthusiasts. INFINITY is available in the App Store. Each issue is absolutely free.
