Want To Be a Moonwalking Pop Sensation? There’s An App For That

If you’re a Michael Jackson fan and an iPhone owner, you’re in for a treat. Ubisoft recently announced the launch of their new Michael Jackson The Experience app for iPhone. The new app is similar to the console game with the same name. In the game, swipe controls are used to move Michael around the screen and make him groove to the music. Ubisoft describes the new app as:

Michael Jackson The Experience invites players on a spectacular interactive journey through the King of Pop's most legendary hits. Built for the iPhone and true to Michael Jackson's groundbreaking and visionary work, The Experience introduces a brand new way of playing rhythm games, an experience as close as it gets to dancing on a mobile device. Draw a series of shapes with your fingers according to the beat and choreography of the Michael Jackson avatar.

The game features four classic songs including:

• The Way You Make Me Feel
• Smooth Criminal
• Speed Demon
• Blood On The Dance Floor

Of course, you can always purchase additional songs within the app as well. I can't say I'm shocked by the in-app purchases available for the new game. It seems to be a common trend with similar games in the App Store. The new game already has a four and a half star rating and looks to be a success so far. I’ve attempted to play the console version despite my horrendous dance moves. I’ll probably have my daughter give it a shot as she’s a big Michael Jackson fan. Michael Jackson The Experience for iPhone is now available in the App Store for $2.99.
