Whether you’re new to iOS, or just want to pick up some useful tips and tricks, we're here to help. This is iOS Advice.
The Mail app on your device may not be the greatest client in the world, but it’s a native iOS app and it gets the job done.
When you open the Mail app, each message shows the sender, subject, and a preview of the first few lines. While this is a great feature, it’s equally as helpful to view more emails at once.
With a quick visit to the Settings app, you can increase the amount of emails that are shown on the screen by decreasing the message preview size.
To adjust the Mail app’s message preview size, watch the video or follow the steps below:
Step 1: Go into the Settings app on your device.
Step 2: Next, scroll down to “Mail, Contacts, Calendars” and tap on it.
Step 3: Under the “Mail” section towards the lower half of the screen, tap on the row labeled “Preview.”
Step 4: Here you’ll be able to choose how many lines each email body displays as a preview. You can select “None” to only display the sender and subject of each message. Alternatively, you can select “5 Lines” to display a larger message preview leaving less emails visible on the screen at once.
After you’ve exited the Settings app, the changes will take effect immediately. Lastly, launch the Mail app on your device and enjoy its new layout.
