Apple's iOS 6 Update Will Be Available On September 19

Apple has announced that iOS 6 will be released on September 19. The update will be available for download in iTunes or through Software Update on iOS devices. The iOS 6 update is packed with many new features including:

• FaceTime over cellular
• Facebook integration
• VIP Inbox for Mail
• Passbook
• Shared Photo Streams
• iCloud Tabs
• New Maps app
• Enhanced Siri experience
• Do Not Disturb

There are 200 new features in iOS 6 spread across all of the compatible devices. PhoneArena.com has a great article on that lists most all of the features. This update will be compatible with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad 2, the new iPad, and fourth generation iPod touch.
