It's Real: Apple Announces Fall Event

Apple's long rumored fall event has just been announced. The event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, Calif. on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 10:00 am PDT, according to invitations being issued by Apple.
The Sept. 12 event will almost certainly be used by Apple to introduce the world to the new iPhone, as well as the public release of iOS 6.
As you can see by the attached invitation, which AppAdvice received, Apple's next handset is likely to be called the "iPhone 5." However, until Apple actually tells us this, consider this part of the puzzle only a rumor.
