Jumping Ship From AT&T? Not So Fast ... You May Lose An Important Feature

One of the best features that AT&T offers the iPhone is the ability to simultaneous use voice and data. There was a lot of hope that this feature would be available to Verizon customers due to the iPhone 5's 4G LTE support, but it looks like that isn't happening.
A Verizon spokesperson has provided The Verge with a comment on this matter. The ironic part is, the rest of Verizon’s LTE smartphones support simultaneous voice and data.
According to Verizon:
"The iPhone 5 was designed to allow customers to place a voice call on the Verizon Wireless network, while letting customers access the Internet over the WiFi."This confuses me a little bit. If every other LTE smartphone on Verizon supports this feature, why doesn’t the iPhone 5? It really doesn’t make any sense. It's also notable that if Verizon’s iPhone 5 was “designed” specifically to prevent customers from using this desirable feature, Sprint may be in the same boat. Both Sprint and Verizon are using the same version of the iPhone 5, so don't expect the Now Network to be any different at the moment. If you’re planning on jumping ship from AT&T to one of these carriers, this missing feature might change your mind. I’m a Verizon customer, and while I was looking forward to this feature, I've never been in a situation where it would have been useful. It’s not an important feature to me, I just wanted what AT&T customers have had since day one. Source: The Verge Image: SFGate
