The iPhone 5 is set to arrive tomorrow, Sept. 21. However, Apple is already highlighting "Amazing Apps on iPhone 5" in the App Store. This list, which shows up on iOS 6-based iPhones offers few surprises. Most of these are apps many of us use each day, including Path, Skitch, and Weather 2X. Still, it is nice to see that some of our most favorite apps are already ready for the new iPhone. With a larger 4-inch screen, the iPhone 5 requires developers to make changes to their apps to reflect the larger screen. Current iPhone apps are compatible with Apple's newest handset. However, those apps without "iPhone 5 support," will show a black letterbox around the sides of the handset. Earlier this week, we reported that Apple was approving apps for iOS 6 and the iPhone 5 at a "rapid pace." The iPhone 5 launches on Friday in the United States, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. The new handset will roll out worldwide to 22 more countries on Sept. 28, including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
