Doodling on the iPad for creative inspiration received a gift this past March with the release of Paper by FiftyThree. The simple, yet elegant design made the app a big hit, right from the start, and even received AppAdvice’s coveted App of the Week award. Today, the artists’ productivity app received another major update, making it faster and smoother than before. Now, your inspirations will only be limited by your own imagination.
Paper by FiftyThree has turned iPad sketching into an art itself. The stylish app received an update this past May to add the ability to share your entire journal as a PDF file through email.
This new update now allows artists to better organize their ideas by freeing up journals and pages for moving around and duplicating. You will also experience faster reaction time with your pencil-to-paper drawing with the newly revamped “Expressive Ink Engine,” which makes the flow three times faster and recognizes edge-to-edge drawing.
The new “Move” feature lets users grab any page or entire journal by pressing and holding, then using multi-touch gestures to open, close, and swipe for faster entry.
The new “Duplicate” feature lets users make copies of their favorite pages and full journals with the press of a button.
Another fancy new feature lets users add more pages to their journal by swiping at the edge of a current page. Plus, with the updated Expressive Ink Engine, a more intuitive “rewind” feature, you’ll be sketching with the speed of lightning.
