How To Search For A Word Or Phrase In Safari

Whether you’re new to iOS, or just want to pick up some useful tips and tricks, we're here to help. This is iOS Advice. Do you use Safari a lot? It’s a great browser, but some of its features are tucked away to save screen space. If you’ve ever wanted to search for a word or phrase in an article, you may find this hidden feature in Safari very useful. If you’d like to learn how to search through text in Safari, watch the video or follow the steps below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEMoW3cadzI Step 1: Launch Safari and navigate to a Web page. Tap on the search box to the right of the address bar at the top of the screen. Next, enter the word or phrase you’d like to find. Above the keyboard, you’ll see “On This Page” followed by the number of matches Safari has discovered within the article. Step 2: Scroll to the bottom of the search results, then tap on the row labeled “Find” followed by your search term. Safari will now display a new bar at the bottom of the screen. Step 3: Next, use the left and right arrows on the bottom bar to browse through your matches on the Web page. Safari will highlight the word or phrase as you are searching through each match. When you're finished searching the page, tap on "Done." Using Safari's hidden search functionality is an easy way to find what you're looking for without squinting and scrolling through the entire article.
