Have you ever wanted to send an audio message to someone instead of a text message? Sending voice recordings is a great way to get a personalized message to a friend or family member. This will allow you to record a message with your device and send it to anyone as an iMessage or MMS.

Note: This method will only work on iPhone and iPod touch.
Step 1: Launch the Voice Memos app on your device.
Step 2: Tap on the red record button on the bottom left side of the screen and begin recording your message. When you’re finished recording, tap the stop button located to the right of the record button.
Step 3: Tap on the menu button where the stop button was located. The message you’ve just recorded will automatically be selected and begin playing.
Step 4: Next, tap on the “Share” button at the bottom of the screen and select “Message” from the menu options. Enter an iMessage address or phone number into the “To” field of the message. Once you’ve selected a recipient for this message, tap on the “Send” button.
The recording will be delivered via iMessage or MMS depending on the circumstances and settings of each device. Keep in mind, either form of delivery will use cellular data if you’re not connected to Wi-Fi.
