Folder Passcode Adds A New Level Of Security To Your Jailbroken Device

December 20, 2012
If you’ve been looking for a great way to protect your folders from unauthorized fingers, this tweak may have the solution. Folder Passcode was created by the same developer who brought us Icon Passcode and it offers the same simplistic functionality. After you’ve installed the tweak, you’ll have to set a master passcode in the Settings app. Once you’ve placed a few apps inside of a folder, there’s a secret way to enable its passcode protection. First, put a folder in wiggle mode. Next, replace the folder's title with "[lock]" and tap "Done" on the keyboard. The folder will revert back to its original title and passcode protection will be enabled. This is definitely a great tweak, but it would have been nice to see this type of functionality in Icon Passcode. Either way, Folder Passcode adds another level of customization and security to your jailbroken iOS device. Check out our video overview below to see the tweak in action. Currently, Folder Passcode is available in the Cydia Store (via the ModMyi repository) for free. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBFHFXk5YJI
