If you're not a big fan of Newsstand, there's a new jailbreak tweak that will help give it some purpose. With Download To Newsstand, you can turn Apple's magazine hub into a makeshift App Store downloads folder.
Once you've installed this tweak, you won't have to clutter your home screen with App Store downloads. Every time you download an app, it will be placed inside of Newsstand until it's installed.
Here's a brief description of the tweak from the developer:
Download To Newsstand is the ideal way of managing your app downloading! Simply go to the App Store, start downloading an application, and instead of the app being in the springboard it will download and install in the Newsstand folder! giving it a "book style" / flat icon. once the application installs it will take it out of the Newsstand application and add it to the springboard. This is really cool and is awesome to be able to see all of your downloads in one place! There are no settings to configure for this tweak. It may not be a useful customization for your jailbroken device, but it's certainly original. Check out our video overview below to see the tweak in action. Currently, Download To Newsstand is available in the Cydia Store (via the ModMyi repository) for free. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQDWkE3w2sk
