Whether you’re new to iOS, or just want to pick up some useful tips and tricks, we're here to help. This is iOS Advice.
The next time someone sends you a text message containing a phone number, this tip may come in handy. Instead of copying the number and navigating to your contacts, iOS gives us the ability to quickly add it to a contact or create a new one from a message. The process is fairly simple and it will also work with an email address or website.
Check out our video overview or follow the steps below:

Step 1: Open the Messages app and navigate to a text message containing the phone number or email address you’d like to save.
Step 2: Next, tap on the blue arrow on the side of the message. Here you’ll be presented with an “Info” screen.
Step 3: Use the “Create New Contact” or “Add To Existing Contact” button to save the number. If you're running iOS 6, you can tap on hold on the number or email address from the message screen to pull up a menu containing these options.
Check out our video overview for a detailed look at this process.
