Apple Releases iOS 6.1 Beta 5 To Developers

Apple has seeded the fifth beta of iOS 6.1 to developers. This is a rare weekend release for an iOS beta, but it was definitely necessary as the fourth beta was set to expire in one day.
We were hoping to see a public or Golden Master release of iOS 6.1 on Friday, but that never happened. The fourth beta version of iOS 6.1 was released on Dec. 17, 2012. While this may not be a public release, oddly enough, it has the ability to be installed on any device regardless of a user's developer status.
Currently, there's no word of a public release for iOS 6.1, but registered developers can download the latest beta from Apple's developer page. We'll be sure to let you know if we spot anything new in the fifth beta version of iOS 6.1. This beta is available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
