CES 2013: Castiv Blurs The Line Between Mobile Devices And Music

January 11, 2013
Music-related accessories seem to have a noticeable presence at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) we visited Castiv’s booth to see what the company has in store for mobile musicians everywhere. The Drum Sidekick is a mount that is specially designed to clip to the rim of a drum snare so that drummers can easily access various apps (or maybe just record oneself playing the drums) from their iPhone. There is no information at this time regarding cost and availability of the Drum Sidekick. The Tab Station for Mic Stand is a mount that screws onto the top of a microphone stand. The mount includes an additional telescoping attachment so that you can snap your microphone to the same stand. It also comes with a tripod adaptor. The Tab Station comes in two sizes, one for the iPad and one for the iPad mini.  They are available for $34.99 from the company’s website.

The Guitar Sidekick is a mount that clips directly onto the neck of your guitar to hold your iPhone at arm’s length. This handy mount is available now for $24.99.
