CES 2013: Sound Cover Turns Your iPad Into An Amplified Entertainment System

Accessories for iOS devices seemed to be the center of attention at CES 2013. Even though iPhone 5 and iPad mini cases seemed to hog the spotlight, there was still room for a bunch of great accessories to compliment the full-size iPad.
OnAnOff’s Sound Cover is a great example of protection and functionality. This case packs a built-in flat panel speaker that really packs a punch. I had a chance to demo Sound Cover at CES 2013 and I was definitely surprised by its features.
Sound Cover will increase your iPad’s volume up to 300 percent. This is made possible by the large iPad-sized flat panel speaker I mentioned earlier. The built-in speaker is powered by a 10 hour 1600mAh lithium-ion rechargeable battery. Sound Cover also offers multiple viewing angles making it a great mobile entertainment center.

Overall, I was impressed by Sound Cover’s low profile design. The case is relatively thin and really does amplify the iPad’s volume quite a bit. The only thing that would make this case better is Bluetooth connectivity. Currently, Sound Cover uses your iPad’s headphone jack as an audio source.
