CES 2013: Go Ballistic With The Super Protective Ballistic SG Maxx iPhone Case

January 12, 2013
There were plenty of unique iPhone cases at this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES), but few could boast the ability to protect your iPhone while being thrown at a brick wall. It's easy to talk about situations where a case would protect your phone, but actually demonstrating its true abilities by throwing it at a brick wall is quite a risky move. Check out the video below of AppAdvice’s Dom Esposito talking with Dana from the Ballistic booth. If you are having trouble seeing the video, click here for a direct link to it on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7xVvgzGgrc As you can see, the iPhone survived a few big bumps thanks to the case. I think it would be safe to assume that it would have no issues protecting your phone from more realistic situations, like regular drops. The Ballistic SG Maxx joins an ever growing line of cases that are less about making your device look pretty, but more about protecting your phone from almost any situation. The case has four layers of protection and is made up of separate, replaceable parts. You could use it with or without the screen protector or holster. While the case protects your phone from drops and knocks, it's not waterproof so you still have to avoid dropping it in water. The Ballistic SG Maxx costs $49.99 and comes in various colors. You can learn more about it here.
