Staples Likely To Begin Selling Apple Products In Canada And US Soon
February 15, 2013
Staples, the office supply chain store, is expected to begin selling Apple products in the near future in Canada and the U.S. This news was announced via Twitter by Regis Mulot, the company’s senior vice president of global human resources. However, soon after Mulot posted the tweet, it was taken down.
In January, an Apple TV product test page showed up on the Staples website. This suggested that Apple products would soon be coming to the retailer. However, until Mulot’s announcement, no one at Staples would comment on a possible deal.
Although Mulot's tweet no longer exists, two other Staples employees have also confirmed the news via the social network. Mike Goggin, a field services coordinator, and Erin LaFlamme, a strategic accounts coordinator each posted the news on Thursday, Feb 14.
At the time of this writing, these tweets remain.
