Now that the iOS 6 untethered jailbreak has been released, it's time to liberate all supported iOS devices. We recently showed you how to jailbreak the iPhone 5 or iPod touch, but now we're going to take a look at the process on an iPad.
Overall, the steps are very similar, but it helps to have instructions for a device that you recognize to perform an untethered jailbreak. Before you proceed with jailbreaking your device, make sure that you backup using iTunes or iCloud. It's also helpful to restore to a fresh install of iOS 6.1, but that's not required.
Download the Evasi0n tool here, or use the links below:
When you're ready, watch the video or follow the steps below:

Step 1: Plug in your device and make sure you've backed up to iCloud or your computer. Step 2: Next, open the Evasi0n jailbreak tool and click on "Jailbreak." Step 3: Wait for your device to go through the jailbreak process. After a while, the Evasi0n tool will ask you to unlock your device and tap on the "Jailbreak" icon. Your screen will go black for a second and then the process will continue. Step 4: Allow the Evasi0n tool to continue jailbreaking your device. Be patient and do not touch your device at this time. Step 5: Once the process has completed, you'll be able to unlock your device and launch Cydia. Now that you're finished, be sure to check out our recommended list of tweaks to start customizing your device. There's also a huge archive of tweaks we've covered over the years in our jailbreak section. If you have any questions, leave a comment below. AppAdvice would like to thank the Evad3rs for their hard work on the iOS 6 jailbreak.
