Cydia Tweak: Send Contact-Specific Read Receipts With SelectiveReading

Sending read receipts is a great way to let someone know that you’ve read their iMessage. The downside to read receipts is that you can only enable or disable them. In my opinion, it’s a no-braner to include the ability to set up contact-specific read receipts.
You may not want one of your friends to see that you’ve read their iMessage, but it may be important to send read receipts to a spouse or family member. SelectiveReading is a new Cydia tweak that adds the ability to enable or disable read receipts for each of your contacts.

Once you’ve installed this tweak, you can specify custom read receipts within the Settings app or on a contact card. The tweak can also be set up to ask each time you receive a message if you’d like to send a read receipt. Overall, SelectiveReading is simple and efficient. This feature should have been included by default in iOS, but thanks to Cydia tweaks, we can all enjoy great new features on our jalbroken devices. Currently, SelectiveReading is available in the BigBoss repository for $0.99. Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments.
