Evernote For Mac Updated With New Quick Note Feature

March 12, 2013
Evernote for Mac was updated today, adding a redesigned Menu Bar Helper function that includes a handy new Quick Note feature. With Quick Note, Evernote users can create a note at any time from within any app. Simply click on the elephant on the task bar at the top of the screen, or use the keyboard shortcut Control-Command-N to bring up the Quick Note interface. From there, you can immediately begin typing, saving notes for later or sending them to Evernote by clicking the “Save to Evernote” button. You can even drag audio, images, and other files to Quick Note for storage. Every file is saved to a single note until you save it to Evernote, at which point, a new Quick Note is available. If you’re an Evernote user, Quick Note will undoubtedly be a much welcomed change. While the app update isn’t available in the App Store just yet, you can get the new version of Evernote from the Evernote website.
