LivelyIcons Animates Your Icons And Supports Cancer Research

March 3, 2013
If you’re looking for a jailbreak tweak to liven up your home screen, you should definitely check out LivelyIcons. This tweak will add opening animations to your app icons and supports cancer research at the same time. Check out our video overview below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7BU5zvv3lY

Once you purchase this $1.99 tweak, you’ll be able to choose from 12 different animations and set a custom animation speed. There's nothing special about LivelyIcons, but the developer has bigger plans for this tweak. Created by Filippo Bigarella, LivelyIcons serves a greater cause. All the proceeds from this tweak are being donated to cancer research charities. Filippo explained the details on his blog:
Hey everyone, I think you probably already heard about my new upcoming tweak, LivelyIcons: I posted a small video preview on Twitter a couple of days ago, and many people seemed to like it. However, what I will be telling you in this post is not strictly related to the features of the tweak, nor I will speak about any technical detail: what I want to tell you today is how you can help other people by purchasing LivelyIcons. In fact, I had a plan for this tweak right from the beginning: gather funding for research, in particular pediatric cancer research. How much will be donated? Price point: $1.99 Net gain (-30%): $1.39 PayPal fees (-7/8%): $1.28 Italian taxes (-27%): $0.92 (the so-called ‘aliquota’: that sucks, I know) So, I can officially announce that I’ll be donating $1 for every copy of LivelyIcons sold.
As you can see, LivelyIcons doesn’t add a lot of functionality to your iOS device, but it’s definitely worth every penny. Not only do you get a good tweak from a reputable developer, you’re also supporting pediatric cancer research. Currently, LivelyIcons is available in the BigBoss repository for $1.99. Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments.
