Best Buy Is Offering Retina Display iPads At 30 Percent Off Retail

April 3, 2013
For those looking for a Retina display iPad, Best Buy has a great deal for you. The retailer is now offering third-generation iPads at 30 percent off the retail price. Available through Best Buy’s Computing Clearance website, the deal means that you can score a 16GB iPad for as little as $314.99. By contrast, the 64GB iPad with Wi-FI + Cellular is available for $545.99. These are incredible deals when you consider that the $399 non-Retina display 16GB iPad 2 remains on the market. The special prices on the iPad 3 are good for online orders and in-store pickups. First released in March 2012, Apple’s third generation tablet was only on the market for seven months. However, it is largely the same as its successor, the iPad with Retina display, which launched in October. The older model comes with a 30-pin connector versus Apple’s newer Lightning connector. The iPad 3 also has a slightly slower A5X processor, while the iPad 4 comes with an A6X. Apple also made improvements to the iPad’s front-facing camera between the third and fourth generation devices. The iPad 3 includes a FaceTime 0.3 MP camera, while the iPad 4 has a 1.2 MP, 720p HD camera. For more information on Best Buy’s deals, click here.
