Couldn't Get A Ticket To WWDC? Consider Attending The Free AltWWDC

April 26, 2013
It may not be the golden ticket, but it could be a lot of fun nonetheless. For those folks not lucky enough to score a $1,599 ticket to Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), say hello to the next best thing. AltWWDC is a “free and open alternative” to Apple’s own conference. Held outside the official conference, AltWWDC is open to everyone, and includes guest speakers, a Keynote breakfast, and much more. The five-day AltWWDC event begins on Monday, June 10, and will be held on the downtown campus of San Francisco State University. This is one block away from the Moscone Center, where WWDC will be taking place. Speakers at AltWWDC include Mike Lee, Victor Agreda, Jr., Saul Mora, and many more. Features include:
  • Keynote breakfast - Didn't make it into the keynote? Hang out with us and watch the live feeds!
  • Free lunch everyday
  • Co-working space - Wi-Fi, coffee, and peace -- first-come first serve
AltWWDC won't give you a chance to see Tim Cook in person. However, you'll be close enough, and still have $1,599 in your pocket to spend on something else. To register for AltWWDC, please visit their official website. This event is open entry first-come, first-served.
