Cydia Tweak: Give Notification Banners A Fresh Look With BannerImage

In my opinion, iOS notification banners are kind of boring. There are several tweaks available that allow you to change the color of banners, but what if you’re looking for more? BannerImage is a new Cydia tweak that takes banner customization to another level.
This tweak allows you to specify a custom image from your photos to use as the background for notification banners. It’s a very simple tweak, but may add the type of banner customization you’re looking for.

Once you’ve installed BannerImage, you’ll find a new app on your home screen. This is where you can specify a custom image or choose from any of the built in themes. If you’d like to choose an image from the Photos app, it’s best that you crop the image as small as possible to make sure that it will retain its proportion properly. Inside of the theme settings, you also have the option to set a custom text color with the provided RGB sliders. Overall, this tweak may be simple, but I think the added customization is worth the asking price. It's important to note that the BannerImage app isn't stretched out to fit the iPhone 5's screen, but that does not affect it's functionality. Currently, BannerImage is available in the BigBoss repository for $1.49 and is compatible with iOS 6 or higher. Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments.
