T-Mobile USA Is Now Accepting iPhone 5 Preorders Ahead Of April 12 Launch
April 5, 2013
T-Mobile is now taking preorders for the iPhone 5. The handset is available for as little as $99.99, plus $20 for 24 months without a contract.
The T-Mobile iPhone 5 is also available for a one-time charge of $579.99 for the 16GB model. The phone arrives at the No. 4 carrier in the U.S., and at Apple retail stores, April 12.
Price points are as follows:
All models are available through T-Mobile’s newly revamped “un-carrier” unlimited plans. These plans run as low as $50 per month for 500MB of data. For $70 per month, you get unlimited data. Earlier this week, it was confirmed that customers using an unlocked iPhone 5 on T-Mobile would be able to take advantage of the carrier’s new LTE network. This will be provided through a carrier update on April 5. T-Mobile’s iPhone offerings are unique in the U.S. Instead of purchasing a subsidized handset and being locked into a two-year contract, T-Mobile customers simply have to put money down. The rest of the phone’s cost is paid on a monthly basis. See also: T-Mobile’s iPhone 5 Will Feature HD Voice At Launch, and T-Mobile USA Gains Subscribers In 2012 As They Look Ahead To iPhone Launch.
