Cydia Tweak: Knober Turns The Slide To Unlock Knob Into A Toggle

June 14, 2013
There are so many toggle tweaks to choose from within Cydia. Each one provides a useful way to access different system preferences within iOS. Knober is a new Cydia tweak that adds a single toggle to your lock screen, but not exactly how you’d expect. Once installed, you won’t find and buttons or switches on the lock screen, or anywhere on your device for that matter. Knober hides a single customizable toggle in the slide to unlock knob on the lock screen. When Knober is set up and enabled, sliding the unlock knob right to left will activate the selected toggle. Within the Settings app, you’ll have the ability to specify which system setting Knober will toggle. The current toggles available are: Flashlight, Wi-Fi, Airplane Mode, Bluetooth, Orientation Lock, Play/Pause, and Cellular Data. In my opinion, that covers a lot of the bases as far as desirable toggles go, but I’m sure I could think of a few others to throw in the mix. Overall, Knober is pretty cool. It’s discrete and works flawlessly. The best part about Knober is, I never accidentally activated a toggle while unlocking my device. Knober is available in the ModMyi repository for $1.00.
