Dish Network Is Offering New Customers A Free iPad With A 24 Month Commitment
June 3, 2013
Satellite TV provider Dish Network has announced a new promotion that benefits iOS users. Through September 18, new customers can choose a gift of an iPad 2 instead of receiving a 12-month discount. The special packages begin at $49.99 per month.
With the iPad, Dish users are able to watch live TV and recordings anywhere there is an Internet connection. Additionally, with the Hopper Transfers app, viewers can download programs to an iPad or other tablet.
According to Dave Shull, executive vice president and CEO at Dish:
DISH lives up to its commitment of 'simply giving you more for less.' Our innovative service and technological developments have changed and continue to change the way viewers watch TV. This unique iPad and Hopper promotion gives people the opportunity to be absolutely on top of the latest technology. To qualify for the promotion, customers must activate a new Dish service, sign a 24-month contract, and have verifiable credit. The minimum package includes the Hopper system and America’s Top 120 package. Fees include DVR and receiver charges. This offer is not available in Puerto Rico or the United States Virgin Islands. With the iPad 2 priced at $399, this sounds like a nice deal. Of course, were Apple to unveil new iPad models prior to September 18, the promotion would look a lot less valuable. Apple is likely to discontinue the 2year-old iPad 2 after the next tablet refresh. For more information, see: Dish Explorer Offers Program Discovery, Social Interaction, DVR Remote And More.
