In an attempt to create a few unbiased comparisons, we’re now going to examine the performance between the iPad mini and Nexus 7. Obviously, this is a bit unfair because the iPad mini hasn’t been updated since last year, but if you’re considering purchasing a tablet soon, it may be a helpful comparison.
The Nexus 7 is definitely a powerful device when it comes to overall performance. It surpasses the iPad mini in almost every way except for a few small details. In my opinion, if the Nexus 7 could run iOS, it would be the perfect handheld tablet on the market.

In the video we test the overall performance between these two tablets and specifically take a look at gaming and benchmarks. As I mentioned, this test is a bit unfair and certainly not scientific, but it should give you a good idea of what Apple is currently up against. When the iPad mini 2 is released later this year, Apple needs to pack it with performance or prepare to fall behind the curve.
