Refurbished Apple TVs Are Now Available For $75

July 31, 2013
Apple is now offering refurbished Apple TVs for $75 each. This is 25 percent off the regular price of $99. Available through the company’s online store, the refurbished models include Apple’s one-year limited warranty. Last refreshed in March 2012, the Apple TV includes an A5 processor, and is compatible with HDTVs with HDMI. It is capable of a screen resolution of 1080p or 720p at 60/50Hz. In recent months, Apple has added a number of new services to the Apple TV through software updates including Watch ESPN and HBO Go. The current Apple TV Software beta 3 adds iTunes music purchasing and iTunes Radio. Last week, Google introduced the Chromecast, a possible Apple TV competitor. The $35 HDMI accessory includes Air Play-like capabilities that allow users to mirror content from a tablet, smartphone, or computer, to an HDTV. The device supports streaming from YouTube and Netflix. Support for Redbox Instant, Vimeo, and HBO Go is expected soon. Refurbished Apple TV models ship within 24 hours.
