Apple Could Release ‘Some Sort’ Of Television Product This Fall
August 16, 2013
It could turn out to be a very expensive fall for Apple users. After new iPhones and iPads are released, Cupertino could launch some sort of new TV-related product before the end of the year. This, according to MG Siegler, who recently spoke to John Gruber’s on The Talk Show.
According to Siegler, a former TechCrunch reporter, and general partner at Google Ventures.
The latest things I've heard are some sort of television product — not necessarily a television screen, but something — could be coming as soon as this November. And I think there's some surprises there about what it could actually be. And I don't know for sure what it could actually be, but there's been whispers about… the interaction with it being the interesting thing.Siegler’s comments come just days after Apple acquired Matcha, the video discovery startup. It also follows many rumors in recent years that suggest that Apple is working on a new entertainment device. Whether that new product is an actual television or next-generation Apple TV set-top box remains to be seen. To hear Siegler’s complete interview, click here.
