Ink Mobile Allows Apps To Talk To Each Other And Share Data

File this one under something Apple should have done itself, but didn't. Ink, the popular service that lets developers integrate access to cloud services within their applications, has announced a new product. Ink Mobile is a new iOS framework that allows mobile applications to talk to each other and share data, according to TechCrunch. Apple has always limited how mobile apps can talk to each other. As a result, developers often have to rebuild features that other apps already have in place. With Ink Mobile, hooks are created that eliminate this duplication between apps. Initial Ink Mobile partners include Evernote, Citrix Podio, SignEasy, and more. According to TechCrunch:

Once an app is Ink-enabled it can send data to other Ink-enabled apps, which can then, in turn, send that data back or forward it on to another Ink-enabled app or cloud storage service. It may be easier to understand this in the context of a particular scenario: a user opens up a contract in email, signs it using a signature application, replies with the signed contract, then stores the contract to their preferred cloud storage service.
