Lango, The Visual Messaging Service Is Getting A New Look And Features
August 27, 2013
Lango, the visual messaging service, is about to receive a new update. Version 5.0 includes a brand new look, added features, and improved capabilities.
First launched in March, Lango is noted for being available for iOS and Android. It allows users to communicate and share information, regardless of platform.
As In Lango, there are two special types of messages, namely, Spark and Flair. The former consists of text paired with a sticker, while the latter is a poster or photo background with an often meme-tastic tagline.
Lango 5.0 includes social media sharing, which allows users to share the Sparks and Flair they design across Facebook and Twitter using the tap of a finger. The result is a simple way to start and share memes or liven up a social profile.
By tapping to select names from the address book, Lango users can create groups of two or more people for group chat. Lango also makes it easy to mute a particularly lively group conversation without having to leave the group.
The app also includes a new message status feature. As soon as messages arrive, a gray checkmark appears. When the recipient opens the message to read it, the checkmark turns green.
Finally, Lango now includes more than 1,000 images in its gallery of textable icons. More images are added daily, including those that represent current pop culture trends and news from around the world. Notably, Lango 5.0 launches with a new Kardashian textable icon pack, part of the #LivingTheIconLife Kardashian campaign.
Lango is free and available now in the App Store. Version 5.0 should be out later today.
