Apple Announces The iPhone 5S, The Gold Standard Of Phones
September 10, 2013
Apple has just announced the iPhone 5S at today’s special event keynote at the Cupertino Apple campus. The new handset will be the seventh handset from Apple and carries a look and feel that is similar to its predecessor, the iPhone 5.
The iPhone 5S comes in Space Gray and Silver colors, along with the new Gold option. It will feature the A7 chip, which is 64-bit, being the first CPU of its kind in a smartphone. Previously, it was only 32-bit. This means 2x general-purpose registers, 2x floating-point registers, and over 1 billion transistors. Also, iOS 7, which ships on Sept. 18, has been engineered completely for 64-bit support.
